Picked up a New 06
A couple days ago we had a tranny line blow out on our 03 ML and that was the last straw. While at the dealer getting that fixed I looked at a couple of new C class sports and AWD models, and decided to buy a sport with their new V6 and 7 speed automatic. We love the car so far. Only regret is it doesn't have the memory seats, other than that it has everything we wanted. We've already put 200 miles on it. The new V6 is great! It has plenty of power and torque. The 7 spd auto shifts almost seemlessly and seems to always have the engine at the right rpm for best acceleration. Anyway, here it is....
I also got better pics done yesterday before the snow started. Won't be this clean for long. Snow tires go on this afternoon.

Yes do enjoy, very nice. But when you mentioned the memory seats. My almost x wife's 2004 Hyundai came with them as standard equipment and a lot more options then my C Class all for $25K brand new. Quality of the car? In the 8 months of ownership, only i visit for a free oil change and filter. Quality, not as good, that is the leather is not Mercedes leather, the dash is plastic godd plastic but not covered in MB TEX like mine, but overall a lot of car for the money, FWD too bad, if it were RWD it would be almost worhwhile to buy. The only option on her model the 350XL was a 6 CD changer in the trunk, standard is a single CD and tape player up front.
Again congratulations and happy Mercedes benzing!

I've owned a new Hyundai before, but that was back in 1989. It was a decent car for the money and I never had any trouble with it, But I feel I've come a little too far in my life finacially to go back to that cheap of a car. No offense, but I like having cars with everything I want them to have.
My wife works for a Honda dealer and we brought home a new Accord with the same level of equipment this C class has. It was $27,850, about $7k less than the MB. It felt extremely cheap, had torque steer big time, and everywhere you looked was a sea of plastic. The MB was worth the extra green IMHO. This was the accord..
As for the leaves, they are already covered by snow and I knew it was coming so I didn't go out this weekend and rake. Screw it, they'll be gone in six monthsl when the snow melts.

What's that sound that Homer Simpson makes when he's drooling?
I love '06 C230 Sport. I've only heard great reports on the 2.5 litre V6 engine with the 7 speed auto.
So, regardless of the $29K (and change) list price, the car, nicely equiped, is around $35K?
As much as I like that particular model, I'd have to check out the new BMW 3 series. Did you?

I'd have to say the MB is almost identical as far as handling, power, build quality, and the way it drives and rides as our 330. Our first 3 series was a 4 door...
I went to all three BMW dealers in my area and nothing blew my skirt up. I just don't like the new 3 series. The look is way too close to their ugly 5 and 7 series. The new 330 I looked at was a black 4 dr auto, and it was nearly $50k with the same equipment as my C class. The extra HP the bimmer has was not worth that kind of green IMO.

You have an interesting array of cars, RainMan. Very rational choices I must say.
Thumbs up for the Accord and the Benz.
But the EdBower must be the necessary evil for hauling lawn mower, and taking trash to the local recycling place. 4Runner will be an overkill, aint it!
Don't be depressed about the Accord. You know its reliability, I need NOT elaborate.

The EB is a necessity because of where I live. This was last winter about a mile from my house...
And our driveway the same day
I sure ain't keeping if for the gas mileage. It is a 98 with less than 70k miles on it so it obviously doesn't get out much.
