Default Performance upgrades

I have a 2004 C230 Kompressor. Cars aren't my strong point, but I'm eager to learn. Anyway, my friends are talking about things like cold air intakes and blow out valves I can put in my car to get a performance boost. I tried googling these things but I don't know to much about it. I don't want my car to sound like a honda civi with a coffee can exhaust pipe either. Any suggestions? All are welcomed.

I also have another question. What does the "S" and "C" mean next to the stick? Thanks for the help.

The MB dealer told me that S means Sport and C means Comfort.....Also You can buya chip for your ECU to give you about approx. extra14 hp, I think its called the PowerChip. Look in to it.

"S" is for sport mode, when your car is in "S" the transmission will start in 1st gear. When you put the car in "C", comfort, the transmission will start in 2nd gear. This provides less jerk on take and helps in wet (rain) conditions.

Take it from the European models. It is a European brand after all!!

Its S and W.

S meaning Summer [8D]- normal driving. 1st gear starts.
W meaning Winter [&:]- sets off in 2nd gear all the time. - comfort would suffice.

If you want more power - easiest way is K&N panel air filter, replaces the paper one with no adjustments, then use the best unleaded you can get. You will feel the difference.

Let your car breathe!!

Best of luck!!
