Default Performance Upgrades??

Well as the name implies - I am a newbie to the SL500 - so I am looking at all the "fun things". Given a long history of sports cars (mostly corvettes - don't hold it against me please) - I love to "play" with the engines and such.

So does anyone know of performance modifications which can be applied (mild to wild is acceptable). I would like to keep the budget somewhat in line - and would like to "do-it-myself" - so just handing the car and lots of green stuff to someone is not my desire.

Anyway - any comments or recommendations or warnings are gratefully accepted.

I have been checking out doing power upgrades to my SL500. I have decided on Rentech after doing quite a lot of looking. If you go to the site they will have a number of options giving you anywhere from a 15HP to a 150HP gain. Some you could do on your own and some you can't. Good luck.

To do some work your self, I would recommend you to mount a blower - check www.myhps.com and then use a well adapted new software for the ecu -the software flash you can't do your self - a tuner should do this.
Mounting the blower from HPS your self and flash a new software will cost you a lot less than buying complete from Renntech/Kleemann/Brabus.
