Default Oil change intervals

I got a 2000 c230 kompressor. Since I bought the car I haven't changed the oil, so I'm wondering what the intervals are (every 3000 miles or 3 months whichever comes first)???

Also, my windshield washing system is not working. The windshield wiper is working fine, just the windshield fluild is not coming out. All fuses are intact. Any ideas???

Thanks...

Dino

It depends on oil type. If it is a synthetic oil it can go up to 5000K else if it is regular not more than 3000K.

If using Mobil1, then the interval is 10,000 miles.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES REFER TO THE OWNERS MANUAL, IT IS WRONG!!!!!
Yes oil changes are supposed to be 3,000 miles (3,500 max.) with petroleum based oils and 5,000 miles (5,500 max.) with a synthetic based oil.

I too have the same vehicle.
Factory calls for Oil changes at 7,500 miles.
Of course you can change it earlier if you want too
At 3,000 miles.
Or you can simply change your Oil Filter, located on top of engine, to the right, at the 3,000 mile mark.

Then do a full Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil change at your scheduled 7,500 mile mark. Then reset your FSS.

Don't forget to change out all the other filters.
Air Filter
Cabin Air Filter
Fuel Filter
Spark Plugs
Transmission Oil change
Wiper Blade
Flush/Fill Brake Fluid
Flush/Fill Anti-Freeze/Coolant

ALL of the above are really easy to do.

Good Luck.
Let us know how it turned out
