I own an E 220 Cdi (September 2003 manufacture). The car's computer tells me that a service will be due around 6,000 miles after the last service.

I have reason to suspecy that the last service was not, in fact, carried out, although the service booklet was stamped by the workshop. I'm told by other owners that I shouldn't expect services to occur less than 10,000 miles apart.

I would be glad to learn (a) a service interval of just 6,000 seems improbable; and (b) whether there is any way I can find out whether the last service was, in fact, carried out. I understand that the VMU doesn't record details of routine services.
