Oil change after 13,000 Miles?
Whats up people?
I just bought a 2007 C230 and the Controler of the Mercedes Dealer told me that you have to change the oil every 13,000 miles. Is this correct? He also told me he recommends the oil change be done at the dealer and it will cost me around $130.00 for the maintenence. Is he right or was he BS'ing me? Please let me know thank you.
Another question I'd like to ask is some of you have stated that you cannot tint the windows as the tint will scratch due to a tight seal in the window seal. Does this also happen with the 2007? Please let me know.. Thanks

RE: Oil change after 13,000 Miles?
Yes the interval is 13000 miles - but it is not quite that simple (apparently). I am coming up on 1 year on my '06 but only 5000 miles. Recently the car informed me to have Service A done in 30 days and now it is counting down. So the car recognized that despite having only 5k miles my oil is getting old - pretty smart.
Yes it will cost $130 or so. It is Synthetic and there is alot of it IIRC. Hell, Do It Myself oil changes with Mobil 1 and a Fram filter on my Miata cost me $40 and I get greasy and I do it every 5k miles so this is not really too bad.
BTW, 1 year, 5k miles = 0 problems.
