I have a 2000 C280 and my Odometer and tripometer are no longer displaying any info. Every now and then I get a few little lines in the display, but very little. Is there any way to resolve this?

On the digital display I'm guessing? It's just like a digital watch, once it's broken it's broken. You will probably have to replace the instrument cluster. Sorry.

If you search the internet then maybe there are people who can replace the display? But you'll probably have trouble finding someone who can do this, unless someone gets recommended to you. I have never seen it done, just always replaced the instrument cluster.

 

My mechanic told me the whole panel will need to be replaced. Mine has the same problem. He is checking on cost.

I understand it is only the digital display, and the car will continue to operate in spite of this defect.

It complicates record-keeping. I asked if the mileage is accessible through the computer port in the engine compartment, and was told it is. Not 100% sure though, have not verified.
