Default New to MB..... is this worth it?

Hello everyone.... I'm new here and want to make sure I'm making a good buying decision. I purchased a 2003 Land Rover yrs ago and after joining the LR forum... realized I should have purchased a 2004. With that being said, I want to make sure I don't do the same thing with the wife's car. She is looking at a 2004 C230 Kompressor, with 80k miles. The list is 14,992$ and the dealer offered me 13,500$ today. From what I see the car does not have a bad reputation, but I would like some feed back from you the people who drive these everyday. Is there anything in particular I should make sure is in good working order or been replaced? Anything that they are notorious for, etc... Here is the link to the vehicle on their page. http://www.mercedesoffortmyers.com/u...c9adf8297c.htm
I drove the car and it seems very very nice and solid. I understand that repairs are going to be more expensive than the avg, but I am willing to do my own work ( I currently do my work on my LR DII) Again, I am looking for input from you folks that know these creatures better than I.

Thank you and with any luck I'll be seeing you all around this forum more often.

It sounds a little expensive I think for 80k miles.
