I bought a 2003 C240 back in December and I'm having a few issues with it.
1.The radio seems to work SOMETIMES...it can be on, and all of the sudden the sound will turn off (the display stays on). Took it to the dealership and they said i needed a new radio. However, sometimes it's affected when i open/close the driver side door--i can almost hear it "cutting" in and out...so i figured it's a cut wire/short. Any ideas? The place i bought the car from ordered me a new radio, but I want to make sure that changing the radio solves the entire problem.
2. I've noticed when I drive that my tach will reach 2.5-3k rpm while i'm only going about 60mph. Is this normal? I've had cars from volvos to camrys and I don't remember ever being that high in rmps going at that speed.

What gear are you in when you are at 3000 rpm?

I'm in D (so 5th gear?) I've tried to downshift, then shift back up, but it goes back to about 3000 rpm.
