Happy to say that I am now a Mercedes owner. Through Autotrader I found a 1998 C280 with only 22,000 miles on it. The car is in immaculate condition. I live in Austin, I flew up to Dallas yesterday and drove it home last night. What a dream to drive! The 3 hour drive was a nice way to welcome the new baby to the family The previous owner was a little old lady, who due to poor health was getting rid of the car. According to Carfax, 2004 was the year that she put the most miles on the car (4,700), from May of last year the car has only been driven about 1,500 miles. I think I really lucked out on this car. Unfortunately, the lady was a smoker, so I'll have to deal with getting the smoke smell out, but besides that the thing is perfect. I'll post some pics probably after the weekend (the Autotrader link is already gone). The Color Code is 189, which I think the official name is Midnight Blue. The only thing I really need to do to it is get a CD changer or Player.

 

Why mess with CD's? Get yourself an IPOD. I have one now and have not touched a CD since.
