Hello all I am new to this forum and new to owning a mercedes. I have a 1994 c220 and it has some issues. I have had the car scanned and they got a ISC code for the check engine light. The key will only open the drivers door and the power lock button also does not open the other doors. The abs light will come on when you go to take off and it seems like I can feel some drag on the passenger rear wheel. Just wondering if anyone has had similar issues and also wondering a good place to get parts other than the dealer? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

 

If you just got this car I would take it back to who I bought if from and have them fix it. You have some issues and the ABS could have potential of being serious and perhaps dangerous. If you've had this car for awhile I would take it to a Dealer or to a good independant Mercedes mechanic and have it looked at pronto!

The Check engine is the pollution control system, usually a MAS or O2 sensor, but there are other components that in the pollutions control system that could make it come on. As far as the door locks, could be something simple as a fuse. If you have an owners manual, if you don't get one, check to see if there is a reset procedure for the door locks. If the battery has been disconnected on later cars like my 99 C280 there are a bunch of resets that have to be done or the locks won't work correctly the one touch windows, ESP, sunroof all have to be reset. I not sure if earlier cars had these resets. But an owners manual will tell you.

www.carbooks.com have most manuals for benz are reasonable prices. I purchase several factory manual, used, from them for my W107 and as I said they were in good condition and reasonable priced
