HI - I'm Barb and I am new here and looking for some help.
I just purchased a 2003 CLK 320 and when i click the remote to unlock the door - it flips the lock up and down super fast 4 or 5 times in rapid succession and usually I have to click the remote 3 or 4 times before it will unlock my car. Any idea what that might be causeing this and what is might cost to fix?

 

Most likely you will need a new lock actuator, which is the whole door latch and cable and lock ****. Ive replaced many of them for this same reason. Sometimes on rare occasions, there is a rubber seal at the bottom of the locking **** that gets jammed up and needs to be lubed and readjusted, this was more common on the new E class cars. But id guess you need a new door latch. 2-3 hours labor at a Benz dealer. cost of the latch ???? $150-300
