Wondering if it pays to replace the Voltage Regulator or just get the alternator as it has to come out anyway...

Anyone know a good place to get one at a descent price?

Change the Voltage regulator man. The Bosch Alternator will last a long time. It is the voltage regulator on the back side of the alternator that goes bad. I changed mine about 30K miles ago and haven't had one electrical problem since. Original alternator. You will save like $500 and you can do it yourself if youy feel comfy getting under the car. I think it only had like 3 screws.
