Mercedes Engine
Hi,
Can some one explain why Mercedes Engines last so long? I have a 1998 Chevy Venture that needed a new motor at 880000 miles. My Mercedes has 1790000 and it runs like new and always starts right up. Or dose any one know a website that explains this?
Thanks,
Ben

The answer is relatively simnple, they are built better, stronger materials, stronger block, piston, heads etc. Mercedes have and hopefully will always to known for their quality engines. But you still have to maintain them, especially the new engines like the V6 on my 99 C280, specific mortor oil recomemdations etc.
