Default malfucntion lights..please help

i just got a 2005 c230...when i turn my lights on..i get malfunction error that says left front parking lamp and right front lamp not working, but i dont see any malfunction lights on my car when i check..also it says ESP not avail see owners manual..and abs light turns on..but then turns off after a few miles....another thing is...what am i doing wrong when im drivbing and take a turn, the car down shifts by itself to like 1st gear...is it cuz of the sport or comfort button? i dont know how to use the buttons..just got the car on friday and it didnt come with an owners manual....i orderd one thru the dealership for 17 bucks...can someone anwser my ?'s

since you're not the first owner of the car, better ask if they did something on the front lamps or if they have replaced the front SAM and didn't do the coding. check closely too, maybe the small bulb is really busted...but it is unlikely for both of them to get faulty together at the same time.

about ESP/ABS, have the fault code extracted. it can be just a minor problem such as wheel speed sensor or low voltage on control unit.

in sport, it always start to first gear while you don't have it in comfort mode. it also got effect in ADS on suspension. does the downshift makes any difference if you switch between C and S?
