Default Low Beam Questions

Hi I have a question, I wanted to replace my lights, which are the low beams, however i accidentally replaced the high beams. So can you please let me know what HID bulbs are good for low beams. I bought the sylvania silverstars for my high beams and I was wondering what bulb would replace my low beams??? btw i have a 2002 c240.
Thanks
Justin

You can get Silverstars for both high and low beams. Silverstars are not HID bulbs, though. They're regular halogen.

MB's literature usually wrongfully prescribes H1 for H7. Keep an eye out on that.

I have Silver Stars for high, low and fog lights and "I can see for miles, and miles and miles." Wasn't that line from a song?

I don't know exactly what it looks like under your hood, but the bulbs go in behind the headlight housing. They go in the same way as the high beams you already changed. It's just the other housings. A 1/4 twist to unlock the bulb housing and pull it out. Replace the bulb and then replace the bulb housing. Is this what you're asking?

H1 ang H7 do not come with the (brown/black) plastic housing.

The chasis for these bulbs are metal. You secure(lock) them with paper-clip kind of catches inside the lens assembly. You squeeze them. Very tricky for the first time. Just be careful. Once you have done it several times, it's a walk in the park.

Before I unpacked the new bulbs, I practiced taking off and putting in several times with the old bulbs.

i understand how to take both the high beams and low beams out, but the bulb is different, the h7 fits with the high beam perfectly, however the low beam bulb is much smaller and the plug is really different. so should i just have someone install it professionally cause my car needs service soon enough.
