Key replacement
I had 2 key fobs for my C250. My daughter lost one. We are down to one. I went to a dealership here in FL. I had a key fob ordered online to replace the lost one. New, same frequency same mghz..the dealer would not program it and stated that if I wanted one it would be $600 and ordered direct from Mercedes-Benz. Does anyone have another solution or a cheaper one? Thanks in advance.

Same question, same problem. Would love to hear some responses from here is the US, please.
I experienced a similar issue with a Toyota a while back. Can't say it will work with a MBZ but worth a try. Dealer wanted $300 plus for a fob + programing. Online search found aftermarket unit complete with video programming instructions all for less than $100. Programming sequence was a hoot, turn key twice, open and close door, press brake pedal etc. etc. I'm sure the dealer would have taken the car into an enclosed garage before performing this intricate $200 plus programing scam. Many years and still working. Good luck.
