Default K and N air filter

I just installed a K and N air Filter in my 2000 C280 Sport (53,000 miles) and it makes a little bit of a difference in performance and it gives me about 5 more mpg. I would recomend this because it only cost $65 and it can be install in about 5min.

yeah, that seemed like a stretch on the MPG. if that air filter REALLY generated over 10% gas milage savings don't you think the entirecountry would be sporting one?

I polished mine real good last night and this morning on my trip back from visiting my mom, it seemed like it was cutting through the air like a hot knife through butter and swear the gas milage was about 2mpg better:

I have replaced the stock air filter with an oil media filter on most of my cars that I have owned. It's almost unnoticable under normal driving but when the pedal is mashedit's delivering a noticeable gain in HP on every car. I cannot speak about theMPG because usually after I change the filter my foot is in the gas pedal far more than it ever was before, which leads tolower gas milage. I just wanted to make sure that with a supercharged german vehicle it would provide the same results, becuase i've never owned one before this one. thanks for all your input C280.

i own a 1999 c230 kompressor sport and my personally would say add a custom CAI . not only will it give you little more zip it also sounds cool . you can even hear the bypass which sounds like a turbo blow off valve...i m not sure if you can post pictures on here but if you like i can send you pictures mercymeof mine which was done this spring. but if you replace the intake you need to do the exhaust too... email me if you want pictures desmond_trujillo@msn.comthere is a lower score in between my name desmond_trujillo
