Whatever you decide, be SURE not to let your car know you're going to sell it......
Be nice to it.
Wash it.
Polish it.
Tell it you're going to change it's oil and filter.
Be sure you sound sincere.
Cars know.
Otherwise.......well..........you know what it's going to do, don't you?

c280, I too am ready to buy a C300. I'm just waiting for them to arrive at the dealer. This recent fiasco with the honda has put us in the "new car" frame of mind. If you really don't like it, there is no sense in keeping it. I had an accord that I did not like, and it felt great to get rid of it. The teenage girl that bought it thought that it was the greatest thing in the world, and did not mind the sloppy suspension and bouncy ride.
What color and what wheels are you thinking about getting. You already know I flinch when I see those 7 spoke wheels. Blue

You are all ready for a C300? 2009 C300?. I know the dealership next to where I live in Florida has them in. Mercedes-Benz of Sarasota. They have the C300 starting at like $31,000. But that is the stripped down ones with a 6 speed.

Well first of all I must admit that my fear of automatic transmissions is the result of OTHER brand's/make's workmanship , not MB. The tranny in my 19 yr old 190 (5spd manual) has never had an issue, and the tranny in the 9 yr old CLK (auto) has never had an issue. But generally speaking, for me the worst thing that can happen, is being stranded, and it seems to me that when auto trannys fail you are stranded. A manual tranny is simply a gearbox, and I have always been able to at least get to safety in one of the five gears. Secondly, there was the recent glycol fiacso, which I would like to avoid entirely. Thirdly, my family is European and I grew up the with stick shift. I nevereven considered an auto tranny unless manual was not available.
My order:
Manual tranny, only offered in the c300 sport model.
3.o engine, which is fine when gas is $4/gal. No more 5.5L for me.
5 spoke wheels upgradebecause I do not like the 7 spoke rims.
No package. just stock stereo options. I bought all the gadgets in the CLK for example, and (never) use them; It was a waste and just drove up the price. White w grey and blk MB tex.Panaoramic sunfroof was an option that actually has value to me. If someone votes me CEO, I will consider a CLS, but not now.
