I was wondering if anyone had problums. If so what year, miles you have and what's wrong with trans.

Ive got a 94 c280 and Ive just had my gearbox rebuilt due to jerky changes. I was told by the guy that the clutch plates in them have a paper lining with falls apart and causes the problem. I now have new plates (no paper - different lining) and it runs BEAUTIFULLY (so far), mine has doen 121,000 km's.

 

the vaccum controlled trannys of yester years are WAY more reliable than the 1997-1999 POS 722 trannys. change your fluid regluarly and you should be fine for a while
