How normal is this? C240 2002 question
I noticed that after I start my car (from cold) the first two minutes of driving, or so, go like this: when you take your foot off the gas pedal, the speed drops really quickly, you feel it. The dealership said they "couldn't recreate the issue" when I brought it in. Is this a normal thing on this car? After the initial two minutes or so, it's back to 'normal', when you take your foot off the gas, you don't notice anything 'big'.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I think what you are experiencing is pretty normal for initial driving with an automatic transmission when dead cold. My C230 does this if I start the car cold and immediately
drive away. What you are feeling is the transmission not upshifting as quickly as when it is warm, so......being in a lower gear a little longer and then letting off on the gas, makes the car slow down a lot quicker because the car is actually still in a lower gear than you're used to at that speed.
Did any of that make any sense? Anyway, I wouldn't be concerned.
