So someoen tells me I might need to bring my car back to the dealer and have them restart my computer if I install HID's. I was told the computer only reconizes Halogen or something like that and wont reconize my new lights if I do install them. Can someone comfirm this thanks.

 

I've got a true HID kit coming for my 01 c240 on tuesday. I'll let you know what happens because I've heard that the 01 and earlier c classes are safe from needing the computer restart, but anything newer in a c class requires a trip to the dealer. What year and model is your car?

 

Its a 2003 C320 sports coupe. I am pretty sure I would need to go to the dealer and if you can comfirm that I will not get HID's it seems like its mroe trouble then its worth.

 

it is a fairly simple plug-n-play install. you might have to remove or loosen the front bumper. you will need to go to the dealer to have your car coded to accept the HID lights.
