help please: coil pack number designation
I have a 2002 C240. Yesterday I got a check engine light and the code said there was a misfire on coil pack 4. I already have a coil pack to replace it and the guy that checked the code for me erased it and it hasn't come back. I can't remember exactly what the code was (I know i should have written it down or something). My question is, what is the number designation for the coil packs. To be specific in which order are you supposed to count the coil packs to get to #4. starting from the driver side going from front to back then the passenger side front to back or from the driver side to the passenger side in a zig zag pattern. Call me stupid for not knowing if you must but I'm no mechanic. Seems easy enough to replace the coil pack so I figured I would do it myself. Thanks to all who help.
