Default Help Needed With Drivers Side Visor Light

I have a 2001 C240. The visor light does not come on when the visor is down. I changed the light and cleaned the metal areas with an eraser, which were suggestions I read on other threads. I was going to buy a new fuse, but then I realized the right visor light works fine and it appears it's the same fuse for both. Does anyone have suggestions on what else may be the problem? I'm not sure what else to try. Thanks for your help.

look where the visor clips into the clip,,,,there are metal tabs that need to contact, the visor slides left and right..slide it all the way in so the metal contacts make contact with the other metal contacts....if not the light will not work..if it still wont work youll need a new visor

I didn't realize there were metal contact points located there. I had to line them up first and then I cleaned them with an eraser. They were very dirty. But the light still didn't work. Then I realized I needed to lift the mirror door and BAM, let there be light. But I had tried that previously and the light did not work. So I think the contact points just needed to be cleaned. Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
