Fiber Optic

Does an '06 C230 with the base stereo use fiber optic for the signal? Also- does the base stereo have an external amp or is the amp just built into the deck?

AS far as I know the 05 were the last to use fiber optics. If your car has the Bose system it has a separate amp.

No bose- so no sep. amp- which is a good thing. Also- glad to hear about the fiber optic.
