Hi, bought a merc c180 kompressor 2003 the other day off of my family. Just came out of its MOT with 2 new catalytic converters, 4 new spark plugs and 2 new coil packs.

I was driving it back home and the engine light came on. The next day I ran an OBD reader through it and it came up with 2 codes. P0170 and P0020. I cleared both and the engine seemed to run fine.

The other day I was overtaking a vehicle so my revs were quite high and then my engine light came back on and started misfiring. Then the car started to idle rough and misfire a lot, making the whole car shake. I then switched off the engine and started it again and it ran better. Took it to the garage and they didnt know what it was. All they said is there was a misfire in cylinder 2 and there was a tiny bit on moisture on my spark plugs.

Also should point out that my partner could smell fuel the other day as well.

Im pretty sure the fuel injectors are at fault but just wanted opinions of others.
