Default check engine light misfire

hey, my check engine light came on today and i it pooled 3 codes one was 5 cylinder misfire, second was 6 cylinder misfire, and the last one was random multiply cylinder misfire, so i was thinking if anyone had the same problem and if that could be just the spark plugs. Please reply if you have any suggestions. thanks

How did you determine what the codes were from your check engine light being on???

hi there most miss fires on the ML's are caused by the mass air flow sensor, there is probaly no cades for that but i realy suggest that you try to change it and have someone clear you engine light! if you know any one how have the same car thats working properly you might wanna swop first don't worry it will not damage the working one. You still would need to clear the e-light

Gentlemen , missfires can be caused by many different isses, usually ur looking at ignition cables( as for what the complaint is) , if missfire is on all cylerders on the same bank(exp: cyl 4,5 , and 6) usually ur looking at catalytics being cloged or a fuel issue, if you want to be sure if its the cables, just swap them remember first and last cylinders in either side has one longer cable to reach the furthest spark plug , usually an airmass will cause the vehicle to hesitate(no acceleration under load) , im 80% sure its your ignition cables , the oem cables are fragle , so make sure you don't pull on the wire side , pull on the rubber portion , If interested I have access to used/new parts , e-mail me at vwgti2005@aol.com if any questions.
