I found a used driver side mirror for my 2004 C230. How do I get to the connector for the wiring harness to remove and reassemble? If door panel must be removed how is this done?

look at the conn . do you see a release button on the conn. should just press in and pull apart hard its a pain in the !?# if no release is found just pull apart

 

Thanks, but I'll be able to get connector apart, but I want to know if I have to remove the door panel to get to it. Door panels are a pain and I don't want to risk tearing something up or creating any squeaks or rattles by removing factory installed stuff like door panels...unless absolutely necessary.

i never did when you unbolt the 3 philip screws pull the mirror out as far you should have enough room to pull the connector apart if you dont look at the inside door panel the little triangle peice where the tweeter speaker is pop that off .(it just pushes in , hint: if you put your fingers by the run chanel seal (black felt type stuff) just unroll the color door trim back it'll let you get your fingers in there then pull striaght out towards you from the top corner (point of triangle peice) this will free the trim then you should see the mirror connector ,
