Distance between front wheel tire and inner plastic bummer
Hello everyone:
This is my first post. Sorry in advance if this is answered somewhere else. As I am not familiar with the technical term of these parts to do a search on. Thank you in advance to any one that helping me understand this.
I am curious about the distance between the front wheel tires and the inner piece of plastic. I noticed one side (front left) of the 2005 C320 (front left tire) when turned at a maximum angle the distance between it is about 1 inch (measured using my index finger). While the other side (front right tire) it is around 2 inches. What is the standard distance between them? I am afraid that when the tire get heated up the tire will get in contact with the inner bummer plastic and the tire will burst. Anyone know where I can find the original manufacture spec for the distance?
