Hi all, great forum you guys have here... one day when i have a better merc i'll join in for more general discussion ;-)

right now i have a problem with my fairly old c200, i just bought it becuase i'm currently working on a contract in italy, so it's just for running around, to and from work etc... it cost me around 2000 Euro so i don't mind spending money on it to keep it going...

however this afternoon all the dials on the dash have stopped working simultaneously... most importantly the speedo and fuel guage are not working... unfortunately i don't speak much italian and am worried that the cost of replacing the whole unit might cost me a fair fraction of the cost of the car....

i was wondering if anyone's come across this problem before and know whether there's a easy way to fix it, one of my collegues suggested that there may be a way to reset it....

i've been searching on google and in this forum but so far haven't found anything....

if you have any advice on the matter i would be forever grateful, many thanks in advance
