Default Clicking noise going slow/uphill

'03 C240 with +102k miles. I hear a strange clicking sound when driving slow and driving uphill. Thinking it may be CV boot damage?Axles and CV jointsall original. It sounds like the clicking noise an old roller coaster makes when the chain pulls the carts up the first really big hill.

Driving past 10+ mph it goes away, but maybe I just can't hear under the noise.

Any ideas??

Default RE: Clicking noise going slow/uphill

you could be right, they do go bad. more pronouced usually on hard turns. you might see alot of thick grease on the inside of your rims and that could be a tell tale sign of torn CV boots.
