Hi All
I am driving C240 (2002). I want to ask one thing. I am always driving my car on automatic mode (Auto Gear Change), but sometimes I want to shift to manual while driving itself.
Automatic D -> 4 -> 3 -> 2 -> 1
Can I do it while car is in motion or do I need to come to a complete stop before I do it ?
My friend used to drive BMW 325, I heard him saying that we should not do it on BM's as it might blow off the transmission.
Is that true for Mercs also ?
Do I need to take any special precautions which changing modes ?
Also any restrictions for S & W modes (Summer & Winter) modes.

I don't think it would be a problem shifting during driving. That's whay it is made - both auto and manual shift.I had BMW, Mercedes,Audi,VW and I would drive them manual and auto and I never had any problem with the transmission.
