Car Won't Start

Car Won't Start
I cannot start my 2003 C240 sedan. When I turn the key nothing happens, there is no crank sound trying to turn the motor. I have tried both keys. I can turn on the headlights, radio, unlock/lock the doors so battery is not an issue. What is left besides starter and/orignition switch? I checked the fuses but cannot tell if any are blown since they are not all transparent in color.
I'm open to any suggestions and possible repair cost estimates... is this going to be major $$$?

RE: Car Won't Start
it could still be your battery. If it is not up to where it needs to be on voltage the car starter may not crank the engine. Do you hear any clicking noise at all?? Is your car automatic? if soit may be the shifter position sensor.Good luck!

RE: Car Won't Start
Right after AAA tried to jumpstart me I turned the key and there was faint sound of the motor turning over for 1/2 second then nothing. I do not hear clicking (which I guess indicates faulty starter?).
Thanks for the suggestion!

RE: Car Won't Start
to me it sounds more like frount SAM unit,ok to test if the starter is ok wat you needto is to open the right side fuse box, after opening u ll find a redesh connector, with just 1 purple wire on it..wat you need to do is get a long wire which can reach from the positive terminal on the battery to the purple connector, leave ignition on with gear selector in P PARKING WITH PARK BRAKE ON.when you connect you ll hear the starter motor cranckin or it may evenstart up,if it starts up then you no its a faultwith front SAM UNIT OR EIS OR CAN COMMUNICATION..........letme no how you get on...........................
