I have an 1998 c180 with 266K on the clock. The Air Mass Flow meter was changed at 176K and is juddering again.
Can I clean this myself? How easy is it?

 

Thanks for that, its a Bosch part fitted by the main dealer, It seems pretty secure. I was just wondering if there was any way of cleaning it myself without shelling out £500. I'll take it in eventually but if there is a way to tide me over for a few months that would be great.

 

You can goto an auto parts store and pick up a MAF cleaner, just make sure when you take it out not to touch any of the internal parts as they break easily.
