You're right again;there is something. I bought a brand new Accord six cylinder, six speed, sport model back in 04. Somehow...after about three weeks, I turned against the car and lost all respect for it.I began refering to it as a piece of ****,andI hated it so badly I sold it at a loss before it was four months old.I'm serious C280, I hated that car so badly I refused to park it on my property and parked it on the curb, subconsciously hoping it would go away.

I think if I stick with MB I will be fine, but you are absolutely right. I need to spend some time with the car because mistakes are expensive. C280, Thanks for the conversation.

 

had the same thing happin about my C280. I bought it thinking it was a great car but by a month or so I realized it a bad bad car. Its very small, Uncomfterable seats, interior is very cheap looking and it has been many many issues.Called it a POS many times and many many times have considered selling it not caring at all what I get for it. I was just so use to owing an E320 and other bigger better cars that when I got into a C Class it felt fake an cheap and I felt I overpaid.

 

Well here's the update on the C300. I looked at the Ford Fusion V6 and it appears to be just as nice as the C300, but for half the price. Actually, the Ford has a nicer looking body. I can't believe those cars are only $24k new. And I do remember that my last Ford went 160K miles without any engine repair. Notice I didn't say anything about the transmission or paint. Very tempting.

I went to another Mercedes dealer to look at their C300s, just to see if there were any major price differences. I made the mistake of letting them bring me into the store etc. I know their job is to sell you as much stuff as they can, but the salesman absolutelty insisted in pushing me into the CLS. I never even noticed the CLS, but I suppose I know alot about themnow. I never even got to drive the C300. The CLS seems a bit big, but it is quite sporty looking. The salesmen was telling me, as you have also, that a step down is difficult to swollow. The CLS is definitely a step up from even myCLK. At least two hours later, I was a couple of signatures away from buying the thing, and then I began thinking about the economy and the election and cancelled the purchase.Iwonder if the car is available with bullet proof glass and riot gear, like theMLs in Jurassic Park 2?

 

Blue Im not going to lie but If I was the salesman I would try and push you up to a CLS. They are amazing. Did you test drive one? I know where your going with the elction part also. Just think if Obama gets in and you have a CLS. You can share it with me because I dont have oneJust Kidding. Political Humor. Now back to whats important. I personally love the CLS. If I was in the market for a Mercedes Sedan. Its now between the 2009 E550 and the CLS 55 AMG. My wife wants the AMG or an S550. Maybe in a couple years I told her. But right now we are happy with our E320 and 420SEL. Not so much the C280. I think what you have to do is have the dealer put BOTH OF THEM SIDE BY SIDE and give you the keys to both of them and let you just go and do your thing. Think about them both + and - to each one and what fits your lifestyle.

 

Yes, I test drove it; they wouldn't let me leave. I did actually like it; you would never know how powerful they are by the way people drive them.

 

Yes they are a fast car. Try out the CLS63 ///AMG. That will put you right back in the seat.
