C280 Exhaust warning light
Hi,
Am new here. I just imported a s/h 1995 Mercedes model w202 c280 from Japan. It's driving good but if I go over 4500rpm exhaust warning light comes on. Done scan and I get thermocouple CAT B16/6 implausible. When I check the exhaust sensor after the catalytic converter it's not there! Someone removed it earlier and welded the plug! I also changed the lambda in front of CAT hoping this will rectify. Traced 2 cut wires which was connected to this thermocouple. I have tried every dealer here without successes to get part number or what it looks like. Nobody has any idea. We can't get manuals or catalog for Japanese assembled C280's. Can anyone help?
