I am sorry if I am beating a dead horse on this one however I must ask. My 1999 C230 radio is not registering my cd magazine in the trunk. I changed CDs, attempted to clean the heads with a CD cleaner, checked the wires, etc. When the car is cold, the CD player will work for 1 second then it will register "no magazine". I took all of the home-burned CDs out and replaced them with manufacturedCD'S andI still get the same results. It worked fine 1 month ago. I should of seen it slowly dying with thehintsof some CDs not playing in certain slots, etc. Now it seems to be on its last leg. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

 

I would try another cartride first with another person that has the same car. Your cartridge may be bad not loading the cd's correctly once the unit gets hot. I have seen this happen with aftermarket units in the past.
