hey all

recently i`ve notice a really significant lost of power, i recently replace a check valve that is locades on the back of the engine close to the ingention and that valve is conceted to another vaccum valve. there are 2 thngs.

1) every morning when i start the car I hear a blowing sound liki if air is coming from the supercharger when this happends the car works great and fine the rest of the day

2) if I dont hear that sound i know for a fact that the car is going to lose alot of power.

3) if i disconnect the battery and re conected and put the key in switch for a wile and then disconect the key and the start the car works fine for a cuple of days and the again the prolem.

any ideas

yeah its called air recultion pump that could be playin up if thats inop espealy on the komppressorengines it does effect the power have it dignosed by MB u ll nothe exact fault.................let me no hw u get on.........

 

is that the actutaor on the top of the supercharger manifulld

 

first of all you ve got to have a dignostic test before anything and take it from there if its the actuator its not that expensive,is the engine light on or not,meanig the management light?for start if the actuator was faulty the check engine light would have been on.....

 

afterI drive the car for along period with this problem a get the check engine light and i get a code that means secondary air injection system malfunction

 

yes there is a secondary air valve on the inlet monifold if that is cloged you ll get malfuncation,the only way to tell is to remove the valve and check if its clean if its dirty its best to replaceits not expensive its about £40.00...........

 

is that valve a valve that has 2 hoses and one single vacum hose.

will this secondary valve affect my power

 

yes if the fault code comes up as secondary air injection malfunction,its gonna effect the power.................

 

i did check that valve and aprently as you suck air the vacum aprently works but i dont know if ot works in a different way, by the way thank you very much for your help
