C230 Alignment Issue

RE: C230 Alignment Issue
I'm in the UK, and as most of you will know we drive on the opposite side of the road to most. (except Japan, Australia, Africa etc)
I was told when I bought my C320 (w203) a couple of years ago that its the way they're designed for safety reasons.... It will follow the road camber.
To be honeest, they told me they could trim it out, at the expense ofwearing of the front tires more quickly.
I thought this was just a cover up and they wanted to avoid admitting a fault with the vehicle.
HOWEVER!!! there is truth in this, When I drove over the English channel to France and then right over Germany to Poland, all driving on the opposite side of the road.... guess what!!
YEP the car tracked the opposite way!! - but i could still feel a Bias toward wanting to pull the other way!!
20,000 Miles later it was time for a new set of tires, and decided against the Pirelli P6000 Powergy, and instead went for BF GOODRICH - V groove tires called the G-Force Profiler (see link below).... from my local COSTCO
http://www.bfgoodrich.co.uk/bfguk/fr...T1&lang=EN
This frankly was a superb move!, the Pirelli for me emphasized the pulling to the left (UK road) and the BFG's lessened this effect dramatically.
From now on - im not going to buy tires where they dont have a perfectly symetrical tread pattern...
Hope this helps.[8D]

Who's quote was that Eric!! I must have missed it.
At first I thought you were mocking my post, then I realized

This is real bad advice if your tires are directional!
-Eric
"SWAP THE LEFT AND RIGHT TIRE.
does it pull to the other side? "
