C200 D EPC Problem
Hi all,
I've been searching all over because of this and some threads here too but no conclusions yet.
I own a 1998 C200 D Break with 185.000 km (yes I know, very few km), this is my wife car and she does not drive a lot.
Two months ago when starting the car something strange began to happen. If we let the ignition heating lamp go off and start the engine, the engine runs crazy and the EPC light sticks on!
If we turn the engine off and start it again immediately without waiting for the ignition heating lamp to go off, the engine starts normally and tuns normally.
I went to my Mercedes service and they told me it was the fuel pump! I find it weird because if it is from the fuel pump why does de engine start well if I don't wait for the ignition heating lamp to go off?
Can any body here give a clue on this?
Thank you in advance!
Joao Nuno Cruz
