Hi all, Daym from Ireland here.. (new guy) spotted a C200 Classic Automatic today when out and about (annoying sales guys - my hobby! well they deserve it - with the prices they ask for). Anyhow..

I came across a C200, 1999 with 65,000 miles on the engine (according to the clock???). Anyone able to give me a history on this model.. The car is very clean and looks like it has been well cared for (except the sales guy won't let me drive it because the brake pads are apparently too bad - which means the disc's are basically shagged as well)

Never had a Mercedes but have wanted one for ever like!!! is the C200 a good car and what would I expect in terms of reliability and fuel consumption? I'm not opposed to the odd bit of maintenance but don't care for expensive repairs all the time..
