no you missunderstsand naz if you activate the alarm by leaving the windows open and putting your hand in the siren sound and the hazards flash,
but when you just want to lock the car with the fob,it locks the doors and the hazards flash a couple of times like it should do,then for no reason the hazards start to flash very fast but the siren does not sound, and they will continue to flash until you open the car with the fob,
also when the fault is present if you get out of the car and dont lock it after a few seconds it locks its self and the hazards start to flash again

thanks for reply naz
no its not a flip key,its the triangle shape, but i have noticed because its been dry the last couple of days it hasnt done it so i am wondering if its water ingress in the siren because i believe it sort of controls everything so i am going to look at that, i believe its under the n/s/f wing ??
