A/C and interior Fan Questions.
I have a C240 and would appreciate a few answers to the following questions:
1) The A/c works now and again. I have done a diagnostic and the code is pressure of refrig to high. I don't see how this is possible because no gas has been added. Is it possible that the pressure switch has packed up and how difficult is it to replace? would one have to discharge the system to do this job or not?
2) The interior fan/blower has also stopped working, on checking the current flow to this component i found a 12volt current on the lead that plugs into the unit but on the outlet to the fan i noticed only 4 volts. the fan when tested on the battery works so obviously the fault lies at the resistor. Would it be wise to replace just the resistor or the entire unit?

I see i got no replies to my questions. Oh well!!!! Not a problem! I managed to repair the interior blower cost me R 1000-00 about $ 100-00.
Will probably have to take the car in to an air conditioner shop to sort the other problems out.
