C 280 4-Matic Lazy shifting
My 2006 C 280 4-Matic seems to shift at an extremely lazy rate when I kick it in the *** at highway speeds. It seems that it shifts relatively alright untill it's time to hit 4-5th gear at which time it seems to get VERY LAZY. Is this simply normal vehicle function? The car has 30,000 miles and came off a 2 year lease when I picked it up.Many thanks for any help offered.Regards,Will

RE: C 280 4-Matic Lazy shifting
If you mean that you kick the transmission down to pas by being heavy on the throttle and seems to stay in that gear a little to long. That is normal operation. Sometimes it is worse than others, I'm not sure why.
MB does this as a safety precaution incaseyou pull out to pass and suddenly need to slow down. For instance your following an suv in traffic, finally there is an open space to pull into the passing lane. Give it full throttle and off the the other lane to pass.Whatyou didn't see around that suv is a long line of stopped traffic just in front. Everhappen ? Also they do it to save wear and tear on the trans.
