Default C 240 Brakes

2002 C 240, 33,000 miles. Driving last night, the malfunction for brake wear came on and said to visit repair shop. I Have done brake jobs before, anything tricky about these, and where do I find the best parts? Also any special tools needed, and if I put on new brakes, will the malfunction clear itself? Thanks.

Also, make sure the ABS sensor is not damaged during the job, and it is installed when you finished. Sleepwalker is correct changing pads is a snap and even the disc are not rocket science

Is there a wear sensor on both the front and rear wheel? I plan on doing a brake job soon. Anybody have any recommendation on pads/rotors? I have used Mintex and Pagid pads and ATE rotors on my BMW. I'm not sure if they are available for C240's. I would appreciate any advice/feedback.

go to www.brakeworld.com or www.mercedesshop.com, they both have an assortment of disc and pads. I like the Brembo Oem's at thr forum shop they are $45 and at brake world theyare $55, If you want to go upscale, they have SS Brembo at $245.00. Also, I have done business with Mercedes shop before and there service is very good as is there return policy, write to Phil and tell him Al Lueb sent you. As far as pad Pagid are good, the MB OEM are good also but dusty and yes I believe the rears have sensor also, not included when I replace my front pads with OEM Mercedes pads. Also, don't forget no squeal lube. ATE is a excellent disc/rotor also Mercededshop offer those also.
