Default C-230k intake resonator delete

Well, I have decided to delete the intake resonator on my 2005 c230k sport sedan, and will be replacing it with a straight aluminum pipe.

Here is my order from TurboHoses Inc

Quantity Name SKU Each Total
2 2 1/2"ID x 3"Coupler Blue C2123BLU $14.00 $28.00
2 2 1/2"OD x 1'L T6061 Straight Tube PSA2121 $14.00 $28.00
Sub Total $56.00
Shipping: Ground $0.00
Tax Total $0.00
Total $56.00

I already have a few T-clamps that I can use, and I work at a machine shop, so I can fabricate a fitting for the ERG hose.

I'm just looking for any tips/advice/warnings on anything, and does that seem like a reasonable price(Ordered 2' of 2.5", and I will have it cut to size(17.5)+ two couplers to fix everything together.

So if anyone has any tips, or would like to let me know anything before I do this, it would be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance. This is the first mod for my car, so even though it's very simple and hard to mess up I'm still overly excited.

I kinda suspected that, so I did a bit more digging and found the parts for about $40(not including shipping), but I ended up ordering from two different websites so I couldn't combine and save on shipping >_>

I should get them on Thursday or Friday.
I will post a video and pictures as soon as I can.
