buying c230k at least end
I have a 2005 c230k sport sedan, 6 speed, whose lease is about to end. The contractual residual value (that I have the option to buy it for at lease-end) is $20k. I am considering buying the car at lease endif I can negotiate a price lower than the residual. My question is, does anyone have any experience in what kind of reduction MB will take on the residual price when seller the car to the lessee? Are they pretty firm on the price, or will they take ahaircut (I'm thinking $18kwould be fairdeal for them). My car is a fairly rare 6 speed sedan, which I think makes it undesirable for MB to take back because the vast majority of people with these cars want automatics (I had to pay extra to get the 6 speed trucked from another dealer hundreds of miles away, because my dealer had tons of230k autosbut no 6 speeds). Thanks
