Smile Buying 2012 C250( HELP NEEDED)

Hi

I found a 2012 C250 at Benz dealership which has low miles (8000) ( with Nav and..), the price isn’t that bad~27K..When I test drove it, the tire air pressure light was on and dealer said they will adjust tire air pressure and it will get fixed. The tire air pressure was showing (31,30,31,32).Other than that it looked good. Since I don’t have any experience with these kind of cars, I am asking to see what I should look and check before I get the car?? This car is under manufacture warranty till 2016 and I am planning to keep it certified till 2017. What are the items that Mercedes Benz dealership doesn’t cover under their warranty?? Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Wink Go for it!

IMO it seems a good deal, and you should not refrain from buying the car because of a such a small problem. I have owned 3 Mercedes ('08 C300, '10 C300, and '12 C250), and all of them had issues with tire pressure monitoring (TPM) system. It works fine, but it is hard to get all the numbers perfect, and soon after - it will change. I went to the dealer with my first one and they could not fix it. Of course, there is a button that can save whatever number (tire pressure) you want, and you're done. Easy job. As soon as you start rolling, the tires will change the temperature and the pressure (numbers) will go up. If the change is from 30 to 31 or from 30 to 29, in other words only one number difference, you would not have any messages on the board/display. As soon as you have a 2+ difference (30 to 32), you'll see the message every time you start or stop the engine. Irritating . My latest one, the 2012 C250 has the advanced TPM, and it is not annoying as much as the older ones, but the issue is still there (let's call it - not quite perfect).

That's way too low for that car. I run 33 to 35 front 42 rear. Cold.

Other than that just check the maintenance history.
