Hey, got a 1998 c280 brake pad light coming on. I know I need to get break pads, it seems like it has been a while since I hae replaced them. do you guys think it is a 100 percent requirement to go with Mercedes brand brakes only or is bendex fine to go with? whats everyones opinion.

 

Pay a little more for quality pads and you will get better braking plus less of the ugly dust! The Axxis (sp?)seem to be well regarded.

 

I have heard Axxis and Rotex are very good pads. AlsoI have heard from a few peole that you should replace rotors along with the pads. i think this is bs. but after how many miles of a normal amount of braking should you replace the rotors?
