I recently replaced the brake pads and rotors with OEM components. After 54K miles the rotors wore down to the minimum thickness of 25mm or 1.000", original size 1.130" not too bad. Anyway, could one of you tell me the composition of the pads? Are these carbon based because they were as black as charcoal and would an aftermarket pad ( bendix, napa, wagner) worked as well. By the way the OEM actually cost me less than the replacement would have. I do my own work for many items can't see paying for work I could do myself.
